Through May, new work in progress in my Dates in a Life Walking Project 2021, a year-long painting documenting the number of steps I walk, and the number of flights of stairs I climb, each day.
I've changed jobs and it's also spring. I try to take a walk midday on my work days. There's a wonderful path that goes along the Charles River in Watertown, MA that's almost completely shaded. It's very peaceful. I enjoy seeing the turtles and geese, listening to the movement of the water, and smelling trees in full bloom.
The black icons represent 0-9999 steps, red is 10,000-19,999, and if I walk 20,000 or more steps it's a yellow icon. The background colors represent how many flights of stairs I climbed each day.
