Back Home, and New Home

Walls from Fences Series #5 is back home after traveling around the US in the Boston Printmakers thINK show for a number of years. It measures 20.5" x 11.5", is mixed media on stiffened fabric, and was created in 2010.

Fence Fragments from Millay #10 recently sold while on exhibit at Uni-T at the Natick Mall, in Natick, MA. It's mixed media on 6" x 6" x .75" cradled board, and was created along with 29 other small works, while I was at an art residency at the Millay Colony in 2012.

Uni-T!

I'm trying something a little different. For the month of August, I'm the guest artist at Uni-T at the Natick Mall, in Natick, MA.

For sale at the store, are greeting cards and giclee prints of my work, as well as handprinted T-shirts, small paintings, and my book, Uncommon Cards.

There are 25 different greeting cards, which are cropped details of paintings. The color and detail is really nice, and I think they look awesome!

Also at the store are giclee prints of three paintings, in both matted and framed options. They're a good opportunity for someone who would like to buy one of my paintings, but don't have the resources to do so.

And, the only location to buy my handprinted T-shirts, besides online, is at Uni-T. Store visitors can see the detail of the monoprinting up close, and they can also try them on. Women's sizes small, medium, large and extra-large are available.

I'd like to thank store owner and fellow artist, Eujin Kim, for inviting me to exhibit at Uni-T for the month of August.

Work Looking for a New Home

I'd like to thank the CSArt Shareholders, and Fountain Street Fine Art, for helping to make the CSArt a success!

Now that the CSArt Art Harvest Party has happened at Fountain Street Fine Art, there are still a number of my Fence Fragments from Millay series that are looking for a new home. Each piece is mixed media on 6" x 6" x .75" cradled board and they are $125 each. 

The Fence Fragments from Millay series was created during my art residency at the Millay Colony in September 2012.

There is also additional work available by Lisa Barthelson, Cheryl Clinton, Marie Craig, Virginia Fitzgerald, and Kay Hartung.

CSArt Art Harvest Party on Sunday

You're invited to the CSArt Art Harvest Party on Sunday November 18, 2012 from 2-4 pm at Fountain Street Fine Art, 59 Fountain St in Framingham MA. The Harvest Party is free and open to the public.

The six artists participating in the CSArt are Lisa Barthelson, Cheryl Clinton, Marie Craig, Virginia Fitzgerald, Kay Hartung, and (me) Jeanne Williamson.

My contribution to the Art CSA is my new Fence Fragments from Millay series. They are mixed media on cradled board, 6" x 6" x .75" each, and were created during my art residency at the Millay Colony in September 2012.

A limited number of Art Shares are still available for pre-purchase for $360; shares will be sold at the door (unless sold out) for $450. Shareholders will also be able to purchase additional pieces at the share price during the Harvest Party.

Community Supported Art HARVEST PARTY

Since the Spring, 6 artists in eastern Massachusetts have been busy creating new work especially for CSArt, a new approach to art collecting, modeled after the popular concept of community supported agriculture.

The artists will deliver their pieces and celebrate with shareholders at an Art Harvest Party on November 18, 2012 from 2-4 pm at Fountain Street Fine Art, 59 Fountain St, in Framingham MA. The Harvest Party is free and open to the public.

Each share consists of 6 original, one of a kind works of art by six different artists, created especially for this project. The six artists participating in this year’s CSArt@FSFA are Lisa Barthelson, Cheryl Clinton, Marie Craig, Virginia Fitzgerald, Kay Hartung, and (me) Jeanne Williamson.

Fence Fragments from Millay

Here are the 30 pieces I made that will be distributed to the shareholders of an Art CSA I'm participating in at Fountain Street Fine Arts, in Framingham, MA on October 18th.

The name of the series is Fence Fragments from Millay, because I created them at my recent art residency at the Millay Colony. They're made with remainder pieces of fabric from all of the work I created there, and they are mounted on 6" x 6" boards.
