Since the Spring, 6 artists in eastern Massachusetts have been busy creating
new work especially for CSArt, a new
approach to art collecting, modeled after the popular concept of community
supported agriculture.
The artists will deliver their
pieces and celebrate with shareholders at an Art Harvest Party on November 18,
2012 from 2-4 pm at Fountain Street Fine Art, 59 Fountain St, in Framingham MA. The Harvest Party is free and open to the public.
Each share consists of 6 original, one of a kind works of
art by six different artists, created especially for this project. The six
artists participating in this year’s CSArt@FSFA
are Lisa Barthelson, Cheryl Clinton, Marie Craig, Virginia Fitzgerald, Kay Hartung, and (me) Jeanne Williamson.
My contribution to the Art CSA is my new Fence Fragments from Millay series. They are mixed media on cradled board, 6" x 6" x .75" each, and were created during my art residency at the Millay Colony in September 2012.
A limited number of Art Shares are still available for pre-purchase for $360;
shares will be sold at the door (unless sold out) for $450. Shareholders will
also be able to purchase additional pieces at the share price during the
Harvest Party.
