I have been using monoprints of construction fences in my artwork since 2002, when I started seeing different patterns, shapes, and sizes, as they were being used at many construction sites as a barrier to keep people out of danger by blocking off the site.
While it is debatable whether cloth face masks can protect anyone from getting Covid-19, I am using my monoprinted fabric in the Pandemic Face Mask series as my way of dealing with the Covid-19 worldwide tragedy. Each face mask is created with mixed media techniques and is wearable.
