"Do you recommend slides or digital images?" an art friend asked yesterday. She continued, "I'm thinking slides may actually make more sense for permanence."
I wrote back "Funny that you ask. My photographer said no one is getting slides anymore besides me and one other art friend. I agree that they are more permanent, and I own a slide scanner, so that's why I'm doing it. ... As long my photographer can get slide film, I plan on getting slides."
