As I'm getting ready to make new work using the "holes" left over after finishing both my Weathered Fences and my new Backyard Installation, I found these tree stumps inspiring.
I played around with a few ideas for this series in both my May 12 x 12 x 12 and April 12 x 12 x 12 pieces.
Six 24" x 18" x 1.5" cradled boards arrived today. I can start working on my new "Holes in the Fences" series as soon as I finish the new Front Yard Installation I've been working on. I'll be cutting more "holes" out of the stiffened fabric, that's drying in my studio as I type this, hopefully tomorrow or over the weekend. Then I'll have a good supply of "holes" to work with.
