More in the Works
More progress on the second and third of the three orange Weathered Fences I've been working on. The first one can be seen here.
They will be on exhibit at the Studios Without Walls, which is group of temporary site specific art installations along the Muddy River in Brookline, MA from May 1 - June 13, 2010.
All three are now printed, painted, stitched and stiffened fabric. I am now cutting the holes in them, to make them more construction fence-like, before getting them photographed on Thursday. I will be installing them in and around two trees next week.
The front view of the second piece, before holes are cut in it, is shown at the top of this post. The picture above is a back view of the same piece.
This a front view of the third piece, also in progress before holes are cut in it.
And this a back view.
Because it's an installation, both the front and the back sides are important.
I'll post finished pictures soon, as well as more information about the show.
