New Work in Progress

I’m almost finished working on my first large painting in a number of years (not including my painting about the number of steps I walked in 2018, and a new one for 2019). I wanted to make new work for quite a while but didn’t have the time for a number of reasons, and I didn’t have the mental energy. I’ve cleared my plate enough to now have more time for making art, and I’ve got new ideas to explore. An extra push came from a gallery director who has offered me a solo show running from October through December. We have been talking about my having a show since 2016, and she’s been very patient and understanding rescheduling me due to circumstances beyond my control. Now we have a confirmed date, and I’m inspired and thankful.
