Moving Fences

More new work created at my art residency at the Millay Colony in September.
The Moving Fences series explores construction fences out in their element over time. They blow, can get limp and sag in the heat, and on cold days they sometimes crack and break. The moving section of fence in the foreground of each piece are shown in comparison to the grid from which is it originated in the background.
Each of the six pieces in this series incorporates a combination of monoprinted textures of a construction fence, stitching and painting.

The Moving Fences series are mixed media on cradled board, and measure 24" x 20" x 1".

Other work I created at Millay is (Fence) Shirts and (Hot) Flashes, and Fence Fragments from Millay.
