Since creating The Fence As Lace #9, which is a part of my 11 piece (so far) The Fence As Lace series, when I was at the Vermont Studio Center, I wasn't all that happy with it, but I wasn't sure what it needed to make me happy. Since my arrival home almost two weeks ago, I've had it hanging on my studio wall, and I've been looking at it and thinking.
Yesterday I took the plunge and cut into it, and then I did some stitching and painting, and now I'm much happier.
