thINK
I totally forgot to post this until now, but Walls From Fences #5 has been (and will be) on exhibit at thINK, the Boston Printmakers 2010 Members Show, at the Zullo Gallery in Medfield, Massachusetts until July 3rd (tomorrow), and will then travel through 2012.
From the Boston Printmakers website:
"thINK: The Boston Printmakers Members Show 2010, a traveling exhibition comprised of 180 works in all print media by members from across the US and Canada.
It is indeed an educational exhibition answering the frequently asked question, “How is it made?” Each print has an accompanying “recipe card” sharing its inspiration and process. It is aimed at not only art lovers but also student groups. The range of expression in each print medium is extensive and captivating."
The show is now online, in a beautiful and informative slideshow.
Because there are 181 works, thINK show is divided into three groups. My work is in the Green Group, but I highly encourage you to look at the work in all three groups. It's a nice collection of prints created using many different techniques.
When the show is packed up and traveling, my piece will be packed and protected in a box that I made. The box is actually two boxes from ordering my 2010 calendars from Apple (hence the Apple logos), nested together as one. Above is the box closed, and below, open.
Walls From Fences #5, is mixed media on stiffened fabric, 20.5" x 11.5", 2010.
