This is the almost finished red piece in my new Holes in the Fences series, which are abstractions of construction fences and their holes, and are mixed media on 24" x 18" cradled board.
Previously posted are purple, blue, yellow and green.
Next up, orange, which has been the most difficult of the six for me to create. I'm not sure if it's because the oranges I'm using are too bright, or because I've run low on large scraps of "holes" that were left over from my Weathered Fences series, which are the inspiration behind this series, or if I'm not into using orange. I need to figure it out.
