Yesterday I helped my mother-in-law go through boxes of old things, sorting them for giveaways, family members, etc. One box was filled with knitting and sewing supplies, that belonged to her mother when she was alive. I don't knit so I didn't want the yarn and knitting needles, but I did bring these spools of string and fringes home. The fringes are not my colors, and I have no idea what I'll do with them, but I'm sure they'll show up somewhere in my work. Maybe in a weekly mixed media piece. I'll check to see if the needle punch machine can handle going through the fringes without breaking needles (which I am an expert at).
