Project Runway 4 - Candy Challenge

Yeah! Finally a fun challenge on this season's Project Runway. It's episode 6, "Eye Candy", where the designers were allowed to choose anything they could grab at the Hershey's Store in Times Square in New York City. It was interesting to see which designer chose what, and how they made their idea become a reality. You can see pictures of them in the candy store, on Bravo TV's website.

Seeing that my book The Uncommon Quilter is about using unusual materials, I loved this episode! The final results for this challenge included a dress made of licorice, one made out of the brown cupcake wrapper type paper used to hold Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, a few dresses made out of paper wrappers, a few made out of deconstructed candy inspired pillows. You can see the finished dresses, and rate them, , on Bravo TV's website.

Here is a list of my favorite episodes with unusual materials from past seasons of Project Runway.
