On Exhibit: Fence/Curtain 1.1


Fence/Curtain 1.1 is a prepurposed decorative barrier. It was originally created in 2011 as a 35' long installation that gave the illusion of the curtain, valance, different layers of fabric, and the drape of the curtain on theconstruction site of the future performance hall for the ConstellationCenter which will be located in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA.

It is made of monoprinted textures of different patterns of construction fencing, and handstamped and hand painted geometric shapes, on cotton fabric that is stiffened and water resistant.

The picture above is after installation on a dark soon-to-be rainy day on March 29, 2014. More pictures will be coming throughout the months it's on exhibit.

Fence/Curtain 1.1 is on exhibit starting next weekend, with the work of ten other artists, at the Jackson Homestead in Newton, MA. Details below:
