My work will be on exhibit at the Mother BrookArts and Community Center's inaugural art exhibition Flirt, from February 1 - March 14, 2014.
The 6-week show, described as “an intoxicating visual feast”, features the work of 14 contemporary artists of international, national and regional renown working in a diverse mix of media and conceptual framework: Patty Changand David Kelley, Merill Comeau, Christiane Corcelle, Virginia Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Kostojohn, Danielle LaPointe, Judith Monteferrante, Robin Reynolds, Michael Seif, Iris Sonnenschein, Martha Wakefield (who curated the show), Jeanne Williamson (me), and WendyYoung.
(Fence) Shirts And (Hot) Flashes #1 - 6 (shown above) are mixed media on fabric on 18" x 14" x 1" cradled board, and were created in 2012.
The Fence As Lace #7 will also be on exhibit, hanging on a wall, instead being wrapped around a column, which is its more common way for display. It's mixed media on stiffened fabric that measures 57.5" x 48" hanging on the wall. It was created in 2011.
The Opening reception for Flirt is Friday, February 7 at 7:00pm. Please join us!
