I am almost finished with the other Wordle painting and I’m working on this one. I’m painting the puzzle patterns on the backside of the fabric (photo two), and the lighter color is front (photo one). I really love how the fabric paint soaks through to the backside and is resisted by the black paint that’s already there, in a batik sort of way. The embroidery threads don’t soak up the paint so they stay their actual colors which is very different than painting over them on the front side.
